Single wheel F-350 wanting to change
i have bought a used 1994 F350 with the tubro powerstroke 5 speed....it has a single wheel rearend....can someone tell me if i can change it over to dual wheels?
can someone tell me if you can make a dually from a single axle 1993 1ton F350 4door?
Yes. look up conversion kits, depends on how much you want to spend as to what kit to get. Or if you just want looks.
what im wanting to is put stock wheels and use simalators been told ill have to use spacers ...is that somehing ill have to use?
slap a Dually wheel on there and see how close it is to the spring and brake line, You want or narrow dually like the cab n chassis this could do it. Otherwise need the spacer. You putting a flatbed or regular truck bed?
it has a reaguler bed on it now and i was going to add dually fenders if that will work...
Yes, you need the spacers for the front, but the back should be fine, check around you can find a whole bed cheaper than the fenders. Arrow craft has good spacers for the front. I gave 300 for my bed. Got it painted and installed for 350. To easy like that. All them oilfield welders getting flatbeds , lots of dually beds around here.

Just looked at Arrowcraft and they say it needs the spacer on the rear also, they are the pro's, do it right if you going to tow with it.
ok..thanks....
you really don't need a dually for that. unless it weighs 20 k loaded...

Performance shop (Summit) or look online somebody close to you I'm sure has them. Anybody that sells lift kits. Arrowcraft is in Cali but shipping is fast, and will be the right size and not a light weight spacer.
Well i have coverted the single wheel to a dually...now finding fenders or even a full bed has become harder then i thought....ive been looking locally and there are none to be found....
ive been told if i buy new "replacement fenders" they will not fit ...would have to cut the outer bed side to fit,,, |
Check this guy http://louisville.craigslist.org/pts/3442981297.htmluy on craigslist. And I don't believe you have to cut your bed to put the fenders on. The only difference is the fuel door, I think you can figure that out. Do you have a place up there that puts flatbeds on pickups? We got a lot down here, always got beds for sale.:c:
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- look at this, 1994 f-350 dually bed I would put a flatbed before cutting that out! Ever get to Texas or Louisiana they are plentiful, maybe call your salvage yard and see what it cost to get one sent in. ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Dually Fenders, Truck Fiberglass Fenders Talk to these guys, $350. |
flatbed
if i could find a flat bed id put it on there,,,,it would make a good flat bed truck..wish i was closer to Texas...thats the truck capital of the world...and i know i could find a bed for it...
well, we'll let you move on down here, if you bring some of that corn brew with ya!!:c:
