Gooseneck trailers 7000# to 24,000#
What is the best gooseneck trailer Doolittle,PJ,Texline,Gator,Big Tex, ect?
Post here So we can get some real life knowledge about what holds up good. Also I would like to know what the advantages of single wheel versus dual wheel with oil bath axles are, and if the extra tires are a nusence or a good thing. What is the best for moving equipment, horses, cattle, what are hot shot guy's running any opinions are welcome. |
depends what you need to haul ..
ive used a few type they all seem about the same . we have one with flip up ramps , i like that .... dual jacks is a must .... single tandem are fine unless you plan to haul over 10k or so ... I think all dually ones are oil bath ... |

I wondered about how your Gator was holding up. Didn't you buy that back in 2009? any issue's besides tires? would you suggest a trailer with a winch or at least a mount for one?

Sure is a bright GATOR sticker they put on the side of those. |
mine didnt come with lights. what i like about the dual wheels is safety. we have stopped several times along the road of fellow pullers that blowed a tire. the gator has served me well. the tire wear is because of turning real sharp at all the fair pull tracks. i just wish my tires were about a foot closer too the front. i load my pull truck backwards to help from too much weight on my tow truck:hellox:

I like the lights, steps, ramps and the powder coat paint on the Gator.

Finally got a trailer and its a big improvement over the old one I am very pleased with my new Gator!!
I think I overloaded this one LOl. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.die...70de68b2f7.jpg The trailer has an adjustable post goose neck, brakes on all 4 axles,LED lights, nice D rings, and the mega ramps are huge and double spring assisted. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.die...2ce0f1cd58.jpg The trailer is heavy, I am going to check into finding a F650 or a Kodiak with a Cat for towing heavier items. The old dodge did a great job hauling it empty from Kentucky. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.die...c33dd19cfa.jpg I like the steps on the gator and two speed landing gear. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.die...de091d1d7c.jpg |
