Getting this beast to hook up and hook up good at the track!!

Whats a good place to find good "single" tires and rims to run on a '97 dually at the track for traction??? I am also wanting a detroit locker for the factory rear end. Cus i cant hook up at the track between 20-55mph!!

Does anyone know any good web sites to get these things from???\

special ed says- lance is here. lance is here. lance is here. yay!! :hd:

anyway...

are you talking a custom single wheel that's extra wide? i'd just order like a 16"x10" wheel and only run them on the track.

summit has some decent stuff--

i'd get the wheels from national tire or someplace like that.

well........... i dont know nuthin about actual dragsters and the wheels and rims they got and stuff but., .......

all i want is one bigAZZ wide single wheel in the back that takes the place of regular duals at the track.

that link i threw in for summit will prob be the best choice for a locking diff. you can go with one of those powertrax units. they're cheap-er but i don't know how long it'd last doing hard launches like that. (ask mobs about 'em). they detroit would probably the best but but they're far from cheap and you gotta tear the rear end down to install them.

just get a regular wheel for the back then. go 16x10 or 16x 12. you could probably pick up a couple cheap aluminums for under 300 easy. then you could run some slick or drag radials.

I know Alcoa has them, but the last I saw they were a bit pricey.

here's basically what i was thinking. $119.95 for a 16x10, 17x10 for $150 from these guys NATIONAL TIRE.
