XLR8R 06-17-2010 11:39 PM

We quit sponsoring other folks' trucks a few years back - even turned down one of Banks' rides last winter... still give deals to those who ask, though.

Lostnwalmart 06-19-2010 01:54 PM

all you have to do is call them they make them for our full size trucks :tu: if you look in the dodge gallery there are at least 2 cummins powered rigs with them

heres my homemade ones

Attachment 46684

made the brackets big so i could tie in some extended radius arms in the future.

XLR8R 06-21-2010 01:16 PM

Young's modulus on those could be a problem.

sitosterol 10-02-2010 05:34 PM

holy shit the guy in the first set of picks wouldnt even need traction bars if his blocks werent 6 inches high holy cow...

XLR8R 10-02-2010 10:59 PM

That's what Traction Blocks are for! :tu:

sitosterol 10-03-2010 01:52 PM

how much were those bars compared to the actual spring replacement.

PLMCRZY 10-04-2010 10:13 AM

No close ups but homemade. Very similar to PLMCRZY's, except on a 3rd gen.

Wonder who welded those up on there for you LOL

sitosterol 02-22-2011 09:05 AM

man those are sweet looks like a simple strong design

J_T94 06-13-2012 11:04 PM

Okay, don't tear me up too bad..but I gotta ask, what are traction bars for and what do they do?
(remember this is coming from a 17 year old who doesn't own a diesel...yet. At the moment I have a 99 ram 1500) :argh:

Flatblack79 06-14-2012 11:09 AM

If i had to guess they would limit axle wrap under load (hard acceleration) but maybe someone that actually knows what they are talking about will chime in instead of going off of my guess.

94CTD 06-15-2012 01:23 PM

Correct, they limit how much an axle can rotate. Im more of a fan of a single center bar mounted with a shackle. Way more flex than single bars that have 2 mounting points.
