The first time I held a REAL 12 gauge
I went into a miltia surplus store in the town I live in, and it is run by an older guy in his 70s and his son. The day I went there, the buisness was slow, so only the older gentleman was there. I had been there a few times before, and alot of his stuff was dirt cheap, but his guns I never paid much attention to because he only had about 5 or 6. One of the guns was a .22 (Maybe a remington) that was modeled after the M1 garand, and it was almost $400! But then, I saw it in all it's greatness. A military 12 Gauge shotgun. I had held my grandfathers guns before, but NOTHING like this. It was ALOT heavier than the 12 gauges I had held before. This one was close to 20 pounds! When I first wlaked in, the old man caught my stare and said "Can I help you?". I asked him if I could hold the 12 Gauge. To my surprise he said yes to that 13 year old kid drooling over it. It was a great moment in manhood. Don't have much reason to this post, I just thought I'd share it. Anyone else have moments like this?
