Okay gun people- SPAS 12 question
A. If I was to find a SPAS 12 and know without a question of a doubt that nobody else owned it, do I legally own it already or what do I need to do to legally own it?
B. Can it be made into a decent firearm and what'd it cost? C. Is it possible for a SPAS 12 to be converted to full auto and what do I do if the one I found is full auto? |

Begle, I've been messing with the NFA stuff for a while, I'm on my phone now but will try to answer your questions tomorrow. Bottom line is you can't legally convert any gun to FA.

I found it in Illinois.
From what I read, it's illegal to own in California based on the 1989 Roberti-Roos Act (unless it was registered in California soon after the Act was passed), and there's no getting around that. It was banned for import into the United States, but those models still in the US are perfectly legal to own in most states. It's no use to me not in California, so if it's true that it cannot be owned in California I assume my best course of action is to let somebody in Illinois find it and for me to find a few hundred dollars a few seconds later. I don't care about the legality of it being modified to full auto, my question is if it's even possible... This birdie flying around where I found it said that it was converted as such. |

Man why would you post this on the internet. You just gave the feds there case when you get cought. As of right now your allready trying to buy an ilegal fire arm.

If the Feds find my shotgun in my storage unit in Illinois, hopefully they'll be too busy there to find my ANFO stockpile and the dead bodies in my backyard in California. It's a win-win.
