Shooting range etiquette
 

While at the range today, I had this cock sucking asshole next to me. He was shooting a 12 gauge tactical pump, with slugs at about 5 yards. Was throwing target frag back to shooting line. That was bad enough, then after reloading, I look at my target and realize the mother fucker had shot my target with slugs and birdshot. I was pissed the fuck off at this point. I was close enough to being done for the day, that I just packed up and left.

The reason for the rant is this, do you guys find it wrong when at a range that you pay for use, pay for targets, that another customer just blasts the fuck out of your target? Has the idea of common courtesy been completely lost on fucking society these days?

Yup, pretty much! I make home delivery's with a tractor trailer. Occasionally I have to block driveways. It used to be people would ask me to move so they can get out, now they tell me I have to move.

When you have an ASSHOLE near you, you keep a gun loaded & when he removes his hearing protection you grab your gun & shoot it:tu: Make that fucker go deaf:bat:

He was one of those pussy mother fuckers that never took his muffs off:bat:

I would have shot his target and yelled at him for being such a fucking idiot and so inconsiderate. That's why its kinda nice not having a range here. Its just head to the hills and make sure no one is around. The only downside is that you get a REALLY itchy trigger finger over the winter.

How about say something next time! Of course the dude is a dick, let him know he is fucking up your target. I would of said something even if i was just packing up. It aint right!

the reason he shot his target was because his tacti-cool shotgun didn't have a grip or a frame mounted safety and must have accidentally went off when he pointed it towards the target because he is too much of a freikin idiot to not take his finger off the trigger of a loaded gun when he isn't ready to shoot it......

He is the moderator, when he quits telling everyone that their gun needs a grip or frame mounted safety I will quit. See the glock torture thread. Same crap happens at the local range I go to. Some of these stupid bastards like to use slugs, or .45-70 (or equivalent) of the target frames, which are 4x6 treated lumber. Such a piss off to see these punk use and abuse. Fortunately when you get to the range you are required to write down your membership ID number, doesn't always happen though. Call me a nark, call me a spoiler, call me whatever you like, but I will report people that are doing this shit in a heartbeat.

.460 mag...get it...hearing protection on not his gunna be ringing for a week. to his defense ive had times when shooting that ive crossed targets on accident but alls it takes is a "im sorry" and its all fucking fixed

Went to the local indoor range a few months back, one of those nose in the air, high dollar, bullseye, .22 long rifle pistol guys (everyone knows what I'm talking about if they have gone to a range) had the nerve to come over and ask us if we would mind coming back because our full size cal guns were breaking his consentration....

I don't think I've ever shot so much or so long in one session.

On the Off hand, I got to shoot a light .50 today, thank you special forces. I was feeling like a regular badass with that much firepower in my hands

I've shot a .50 before. Very cool. :tu: In both the prone and standing positions, semi and fully auto... :w2:

The Barrett isn't full auto. I am talking the sniper, not a M-2 machine gun. I have shot those and the Mk-19 grenade launcher. But that light .50 is about the most firepower I have had against my shoulder.

It kicks less than a shotgun, but it's freaking L O U D:scare2:, My buddy was so excited to shot one of my 50 BMG, that he forgot to put on his hearing protection, when he shot the rifle he screamed like a little bitch getting ass-raped:s: He couldn't hear for over a week:ouch:

I love the guys that get the next bench to the left of you and unload a mini 14 or something,hot brass in the side of a guy's mellon sure will make ya cranky.

At least try to be considerate.

Next time just ask him if he knows he's messing up you're target,I've made a few mistakes of etiquette and had to learn the rules,when they just let me know I'm screwing up without talking down to me or acting like assholes I just do it they're way,if they bitch at me cause' I'm shooting centerfire too close to them and messing with they're concentration I snicker a little inside and tell them that's too bad.

I DO NOT hose dudes with hot brass,except my shooting buddy,neither he nor I mind,unless it's really hot...
