Yes, you can!! AR pistols are California legal, it takes a little hoop jumping but it's not unreasonable.

Here's a thread on Calguns.net on how to either build or import and DROS it at an FFL. After you bring it in as a single shot, it can legally be changed to semi-auto, a Bullet Button classifies it as a "fixed magazine" so it's not classified as an AW, short barrel rifle or anything else 'evil'. Legally it's just a semi-auto pistol :)

PRK Arms here in Fresno usually has them in stock, they have an FFL and will assist you with ANYTHING California legal, check out their site!!

Here's an XCR 'single shot pistol' specifically for import into California.

This one's for you, California::moon:

I didn't think you were allowed to own any weapons in California:humm::tttt: Your shot gun will double as a very good home defense gun. The sound of the action in the dark alone will make an intruder wet themselves.:lol88: As far as a carry gun my .45 is on the heavy side; a poly frame would work much better. For a quality .45 do yourself a favor and check out Kimber's line before you buy. And last but not least ; for the 30-30 lever , if you get one please be VERYcareful putting it on safe . The hammer may slip out from under your thumb , and you'll have an accidental discharge.:ph:ALWAYS practice the #1 rule in gun safety ALWAYS keep your gun pointed in a safe direction.

Well, the 2nd is actually not a constitutional right for us, YET; the Calguns Foundation, the Second Amendment Foundation and the NRA are on a roll, though. Soon, very soon.

Shotguns are definitely good, too; when you rack the slide it lets bad guy #2 know that dropping b.g. #1 was just a warm up for you.

No bad guy has ever been killed by the sounds of a shotgun slide racking...

Anybody who thinks the sound of racking a shotgun will scare off a goblin has no idea what they speak of..

Course if ya load that same shotgun with birdshot ya ain't exactly the smartest card in the bird poop......

Get to the gym more often then, if ya can't hump a 1911 for 12+ hours a day you need to really do more than sitting at a computer and munching on cheetoes....

Even after that, it definitely leaves a big blind spot in your vision for a few minutes. Bright light for the win in home defense!

:WTF::WTF:

What happens if I shoot the light, or even better the person holding the light..

Ever done this little stunt with paintballs or wax ammo, sure it sounds good, but in real life if you actually expect to blind a attacker for 2 seconds by shining a light in there eyes you are full of fail.....

Oh good, ms ramprat, the goddess of firearms is on a roll again...glad you're here to save us all.

For your first rebuttal, actually read what I said...I implied that racking the shotgun after dropping bad guy #1 (that means you already neutralized the first threat to your life without racking the slide but just clicking the safety off and firing the already chambered shell) and I DID NOT say that it would simply make #2 scamper off or make you invincible...just that hearing the slide rack was the first sound he'd hear after the first shot rang out and it should warn him that it's game on...if bad guy #2 hears the slide rack, that means A. you're still alive and B. you're hunting him.

As for the part about the light, you're going to have to look Lt Col Dave Grossman up and go tell him he's full of crap and doesn't know what he's talking about and that he's been misinforming our country's swat and military forces.:pca1:

So tell us oh wise one, are you just puking up what you have read and seen on the interweb, or is what you speak of 1st hand knowledge from classes you personally have attended and people you personally have dropped with a shotgun & then scared off the 2nd perpetrator by racking the slide....

How many humans have you personally hunted.....

Anybody can read a book and then drop the name of the author of said book....

Keyboard commandos, got to love them.....:pca1::pca1::pca1:

Not personal on my part, I'll stack my 214 up against greasemonkey's 214 any day of the week, just want to know what his level of training is since he's clearly a SME.

Figure if a man can talk about a subject they can talk about the background/training they have that makes em so knowledgeable, just like having a 20 year diesel mechanic talking about a powerstroke diesel vs a guy who just purchased his 1st diesel and a banks system, has read a magazine or two & is now a SME.
