I was screwed !! buying a gun
Guy advertised a COLT 1911 model 70 in 9MM with 2 stainless steel mags, red fiber optic front site, full length guide rod, extended slide release, extended safety, skeleton hammer, adjustable trigger, beaver tail, over size mag release, checkered main spring housing, with a light trigger pull. For only $550 "WHAT A DEAL"
Here's the problem, we had a meeting in a dark parking lot at the bank, he had his gun in the trunk of his car, I look at the gun with what little light there was & the so-called COLT 1911 looked real good, I arrived home & when I took a real good look at the gun under bright lights, i noticed in tiny fine roll print that the grips was covering i saw the word FEDERAL on the frame, the F R E A K I N G frame is a FEDERAL ORDNANCE:dang::scare2::s::ohno: the punk said it was a COLT |
:argh:
|
Guess I'll have to buy a COLT 1911 9MM or 38 SUPER frame, to put the slide on it, so I'll have a complete COLT 1911:humm:
|
Took the colt upper 9mm out shooting, I was already upset with the price I paid for the gun, Gun started jamming with the first two mags:dang: I spray some PB-50 All-Purpose Lubricant & fired the gun with the same two mags that had jammed before & the gun didn't jammed anymore. I'll make sure this gun stays well lubed:humm:

Now that just plain SUCKS! Chalk it up as a lesson learned bro. Mix-matching is never a good thing on firearms. When I was working I was a Colt armorer. I used to deal with my idiot subordinates trying to build a Colt AR-15 with just a Colt receiver, and add a mish-mosh of parts from Khar, Bushmaster, Armalite etc, then complain that the damm thing wouldnt work properly. Cheap bastards. I would tell them " If you want a Colt, buy a fkg Colt!!!

from now on no more buying guns in a dark parking lot:scare2:

Yeah, next time, make sure its heavily lit.....:tttt: Just kidding. At the very least you have the beginnings to build 2 guns of different manufacturers. A couple of build projects......:humm:
