Onbord Air
 
Im looking to put on bord air. for train horns, air bags. where do you have your air tanks mounted? i want them under the truck. I cant put them in the bed( us it for work & towing). so if you could tell me what size tank you have, an where you have it. even better pic's of them. Im putting it on a 07 quad cab short bed. thanks

find an old caddy in a junk yard they have some nice pumps on them for air ride ect

Are you looking for an electric compressor? Or engine driven?

York compressors make great engine driven compressors if you have room to mount them. Desert Rat also makes one I think, it's more of a rotary style than a reciprocating unit, iirc it can make 8 CFM at 90 psi...

cant fit a York on that truck, the mid early 90's lincolns had the electric air compressors on them, along with lincoln navigators.....

Usually most I have seen are 3-5 gal or so and are fit on the inside or outside of the frame rails... just basically depends on where you have the space... some mount them where their spare tire used to be
