Finally had a chance to do a good wash on the truck in between all the rain we've had. Cruised up to a local seasonal road just before sunset and snapped a few pics. Enjoy...

Wow mike! Nice truck! It looks great and i'm diggin the black stacks too!

Mdub707 06-10-2011 10:55 AM

Thanks guys. I've actually contemplated losing the stacks and going to a cool-dual or single setup like stock. I have no bed space left between the stacks and the 51 gal veg tank. I'd like to have a toolbox back too, so....

Sweet Truck

CincinnatisMostWanted 07-04-2011 10:50 PM

Thats a sweet truck. Love the exhaust stack.

Mdub707 07-05-2011 07:43 AM

Thanks. I've got a buddy locally who wants to trade me a cool dual setup for the stacks... can't make up my mind!!! :s:

1AMatt 07-06-2011 03:39 PM

Im usually not a fan of stacks... I really like the black ones tho. Id probably take the dual set up :tu:

farmerdude 07-07-2011 10:23 PM

Dude, lose the stax, and go with the dual's. STACKS BELONG ON A PETE not a pick-up!

really digging the stacks

Mdub707 09-13-2011 01:24 PM

Thanks man. I like them too, but I'm still unsure of whether or not to keep them. My next truck will NOT have stacks. At least if any of my vehicles are under warranty. No matter what is done, they always point at the stacks as being a sign of modified. I could have a different charger and big nozzles and none of the service managers would ever know, but they ALWAYS see those stacks...

I like stacks but HATE :dang: the room that they take up in the bed!
OBTW nice truck like the blacked out work you've done:tu:

How do you like your stacks? Much difference in the cab or sound? Looks sweet dude.

I have even less space, behind the stacks is a 51 gallon tank for my vegistroke. Another reason I'm considering losing the stacks. I essentially have no room in front of the wheel wells.

Thanks for the comments. If I had to do it all over again for the blacking out, I'd just buy the darn harley lights. Did those one's myself. They came out good, but what a PITA.

I've had a stock exhaust with cat/muffler delete. That exhaust was louder over all, the stacks add a deeper tone (still way loud), but in cab noise increases tremendously. It's a love it/hate it thing. If you have to tow at all with them, you can pretty much forget about trying to carry any type of conversation with the person in the passenger seat until you're up to cruising speed, the noise goes back to quiet again.

My wishlist now is to tint the windows, get some 20x10 BMF SOTA in black/machined and some 35x12.5 20 tires of some variety, not sure what yet.

I will be adding a laundry list of upgrades to it as soon as I get it back from Ford with a fresh trans too. Including a LS rear-end swap, a bunch of upgrades to my vegistroke kit including HIH vs. the current HOH, a new Scorpion designed BFT pump, stainless braided fuel lines to the back of the heads, also going to be digging in soon and reinstalling my ARP's the correct way (Ford did it once and failed miserably) with OEM gaskets, and a few other odds and ends that I will start documenting when I get it back.
