Badge Removal
Im doing my truck in all black and tan. Im removing all the chrome badges and painting them matte black. Any Tips/Tricks you guys know of to keep from scratching the paint with a razor/scraper or bubbling the paint with a heat gun?

That method works extremely well for me. |
eraser wheel works magic but kind of expensive. started by hand took me about two hours to get off two badges. then got the wheel and it took me longer to use the fishing line to get the badge off. then to take the glue off with the wheel

Same principle but worked way faster and easier.instead of fishing string find some thin nylon string breaded worked better than twisted. These have a little bit rougher edge and cut threw the 3M foam better.
Good Luck Tim |
i used fishing line and a heat gun and jun rolled the adhesive backing off my truck while it was being heated. worked perfect

oh gotcha, if your going to keep them on forever, id say just tabs of Gorilla Epoxy. those badges normally come apart on the 94-02 dodges.... there really fragile
