Thanks! Its all small stuff for a while now. I will get the bottom side sealed up, and hopefully pick up more undercoating, since Napa has it on sale for only $2.50 (normally over $5 a can!).

Waiting on the store to get our new compressor in, then I can start spraying primer again. Going to rework the cab corner lines (AGAIN! UGH I hate body work!!!!), then I should be good to go.

Waiting on the custom Diamond Eye downpipe (Thanks Kenny @ KT Performance for hooking me up with that), and the pneumatic cylinder, then the turbo will be close to ready to go.

Waiting for unemployment checks to start so I can order the stuff I need for the intercooler pipes.

Need to locate some seats. Looking at some Dakota seats at the moment. they are comfy and narrow, and alot cheaper than silverado seats.

Then, I get to start on the new bed! Going to order complete new sides, and put in an oak slat bottom with body color metal runners. Not really planning to use the bed a whole lot, its more for show, I guess, haha. Then I will make a custom tool box with hidden propane/nitrous storage. The bed will be my favorite part, I think.

Well, my little pet project for the day was to change the color of my dash from woodgrain, to something much more tolerable. I chose some dark super metallic gunmetal, since its what I had laying around. Unfortunately, I don't have any before pics :(

Here the dash is after a couple coats of primer:

I think it turned out decent, and will go well with the soon to be black dash, and door panels. Gonna order that paint this week, hopefully.

Also, my pneumatic cylinder for the VGT activation arrived today. Its a cool little thing, but I swore the ad said it had a 6 lb extension spring, and a 3 lb retraction spring. Still, don't think that will have much effect on the operation... in fact, it may be a bit easier now. Here it is:

And then the last small project for the day... I am modifying the grille so I can fit the intercooler behind there (where it was never intended to be, since these trucks didn't come with intercoolers, originally). I basically have to cut about 1.5" of the grille off. This is my practice grille so I can perfect how I want to do it so I don't mess my good one up, haha. Here it is abotu a quarter of the way done:

I remember trimming a grill for a 97 F250 that needed strobes mounted, that was one smokey adventure with a muffler cutoff grinder.....but it worked out great and looked good.

Haha, yes... its very smoky. I set up a fan to evacuate the smoke though, so I don't die, lol.

Well! We finally got the air compressor in and installed, so I am able to resume primering.

We got a 60 Gallon, 155 psi unit, and it works wonderfully!

So, I finished priming my hood and fenders... in my make shift paint booth (lol):

As I was painting, the UPS guy came and dropped a box off. In the box I was pleasantly surprised to find out it was my custom Diamond Eye downpipe and 90* stack elbow!

So far its been a good week! The rest of the week will be spent prepping the primed parts for paint. Have to 220, 400, and 600 wet sand the hood and fenders. Going to give it a shot to get the window out of the door, and pull the seals, then I can get one door primered, and I can work on fixing the other door. We'll see how that goes...

:scare2: Turn your hose jack so that it's horizontal and add a moisture/oil filter before the regulator. You don't want any crap blowing thru the line and messing up your top coat of paint. If you can't do a filter right away at least put a drip leg with a drain valve under the hose jack on a Tee fitting.

Thanks! I realized the need for a filter yesterday, I will have dad pick one up ASAP. Any specific reason the regulator need to be horizontal though?

Not the regulator..........the hose jack should be horizontal and never be at the low point because it will collect any debris that is in the system.
I would remove the hose jack and install a Tee into that port on the regulator, that way you could move the hose jack down to a horizontal position and add a 6" drip leg and ball valve below it to catch moisture or debris. :c:

Oh gotcha! That makes alot of sense now! I want to add a filter too, though. Can't hurt, especially if using power tools. Don't wanna ruin those!
