I already welded my bed on. And moving it back would be a pain. Thanks tho yours looks good! I wanna put 7 or 8 inchers on it and build little box deals on the bottom so hay dont build up against the pipes but i just gotta figure out how to get the Y under the bed. Any helps would be good :s:

ur bed is welded to the frame?
my bed has 2, 3x3 box rails under it that are same width as frame rails. then bolts down ontop of bodylift mounts. i can slide mine all the way to the cab or move it way back if i wanted to. how much room is under the bed for pipe? not sure about ur state but here in pa it is accutally illegal to use flexpipe on a passenger vehicle. |
them square stacks look nice

thanks, thats the old 83 i had. the 86 i have has same bed, axles, rims. but i am modding this one alot further. cut 4 inches out of wheel wells, custom push bar, different tool box, batteris in tool box, soon to have fuel tank on the bed, then finish body work and paint.

those square stacks look badd ass.
|
how about you build a box for them, like cut a hole in the flatbed where the exhaust would be like a normal stack kit and lay a 4x4 box tubing or whatever size you like all the way back box it up weld it or bolt it down and paint it. then get your stacks and mount them to the box, obviously cut holes in the box, i mean this is the only way i can think of to make it a clean install.
|
Does anyone make and sell those exhaust boxes?
|
i dont think so, but all you do is get some square tubing whatever size cut it to length box it up with some thin steel like 1/8 inch or whatever and drill your holes, so you can make it to any size.

Thats what i was gonna do around the stacks coming out of the bed. Just two small boxes around each stack instead of alone the pipes across. I still wanna run them just straight up outta the bed. Idk if i will do it tho. Thanks for the help!
