About a year ago i got the itch to build a bike, but didnt want to do anything normal and wanted a real one of a kind bike. Thats when i decided to build this.
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...sofbike208.jpg Its started with a chassis i ordered online and cut up in ways most would cringe to. Fitted a 3cyl yanmar diesel from a reefer unit.Bought parts and cut, welded, machined, bolted them up to all work together. After much tryal and error i had a bike. Then it was teardown for rebuild and paint. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ecamera144.jpg Bored the block .005 , 8hrs of machine work later a perfect very high nickel content block. (pic is of block pre machine work) http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ecamera137.jpg Uh o cracked head http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ecamera141.jpg new head http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ecamera142.jpg back from powder coat http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ecamera218.jpg Injection pump mods, new injectors, timing advanved. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ecamera139.jpg Together for the first time http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ecamera329.jpg Turbo was to big, lights not dot approved, so back to work. Replaced the turbo with a gt15 built 2.5" exhaust with wrap. Changed all the lights. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...sofbike210.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...sofbike206.jpg Some specs: 1000cc, 3cyl, 4000rpm governed, 6 speed trans, 3.35" open primary, gt15 turbo (until i get a gt1544) redesigned oil pan and pickup. Fuel system mods, springer seat, hydraulic clutch, electric remote water pump and more junk i dont care to list. All came together to be a solid, comfortable, capable of hauling some serious ass bike. Does about 90 - 100 and gets there fast. Sounds mean to. Yet to be on a dyno, ill update when i do. Nitrous to be installed in the future. A cool function of the govenor is it does all the fueling for you, you pick an rpm and it fuels to meet that demand. Fun on hills when you keep the throttle put and hear the turbo spool up as the gov adjusts fuel. Fun bike and i cant wait til spring. It was in the single digits when i took the pics today. (thats not my licence plate on there you stalker types, just for mock up)``` http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...sofbike207.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...sofbike205.jpg |

dam that sounds good:yeah:
|
Thats really neat. However I'm not sure how reliable that motor is going to be being out of a TCU. They're ment to run a set rpm for a long time. not be reved up and down as a cycle engine.
