I'll be leaving the non-I/Ced 1st gen bracket this winter... :rocking: 7.3 Powerstroke I/C!!! It needs some fins straigtend up but there is no hole in the tubes!

So your gonna adapt this into your 89 dodge? I was wondering how well it fits width wise to the radiator? It should really improve the power, how many horses do you think it will give ya?

RSWORDS 11-11-2009 03:59 PM

Going from non-I/Ced to I/Ced so it should be a HUGE improvement. Some speculate up to 100HP.

good tip thanks:U:

oh snap..... looks like someone is moving on up......

now you'll need more fuel and more nitrous.....

I think I'll have enough... :D

Good question on nitrous though.... Shoul I inject before or after the intercooler?

DB Admin 11-11-2009 06:05 PM

awesome ! :choochoo:

CumminsCrazed 11-11-2009 06:24 PM

i always thought you injected after the intercooler

Benjamin 11-11-2009 07:14 PM

after the closer you can get it to the combustion chamber the harder the "hit" will be felt

BigDiesel359 11-11-2009 07:15 PM

Nitrous after the cooler

That teh common practice...

I have heard this... I wonder why that is, Its not like there is less nitrous in teh system the sooner in th pipe it goes in... The only place for it to go is the intake.

Thats what I was thinking... I was just wondering if teh nitrous would "pre" cool the Charge Air before it hit the IC...

mysterync 11-11-2009 08:45 PM

Unless you've got so much fuel you've got to keep the cooler cool :argh:

Lookin good Bobby! I'll call ya one day this week!

the closer it is the colder it still is, the colder it is the more HP it will make because of the huge difference in the cold notrous and the extreme heat of combustion. the farther away it is the more heat is exchanged and the less effective the temperature drop is.

It is a BIG improvement. You will need to trim a little off of the side of the radiator metal(what is on the rad that bolts to the support). I put mine in and was up and running in about 4 hours. You will also need a custom intake because of how the master cylinder sits in the non ic trucks. I used one from a bus has a nice large 3" opening and also has pre tapped holes in both sides for the laughing gas. Here is a pick of how mine looks behind the grill and also one of the intake.
