That's pretty scary!!! :nshock:

mysterync 10-28-2009 05:57 PM

That was destined to happen, To few straps, Not tight enough, To close to the front of the roller!
A big props to whoever was in the truck ,that could have been alot worse!
If that truck had not been controlled that would have put the shop outa business and then some!

On the up side, You can tell they were loadin that sucker lol

12vcummins96 10-28-2009 06:02 PM

yep that would have hurt

Hummin Cummins 10-28-2009 09:00 PM

Truck shop I used to work at had a Kenworth go threw a wall. (It happened before I worked there) The dyno was shot and you could see the big section of wall that had to be replaced.

Lil Red Express 10-28-2009 09:23 PM

Um oops. I think they need bigger straps:ph:

The same thing when i worked for Mack. They'd blow everything from tires to motors. The theory there was if it survived the dyno then it would survive in the field. :ph:

Holy crap! I love that people were cheering before they were even sure if anybody had been injured. :booo:

The last dyno event I was at, I as most everyone else that was there stood on the other side of the shop or outside.

97cummins 10-29-2009 03:57 AM

DANG!!!It's a good thing the guy in the drivers seat knew how to react fast. They should have roped off an area around the the truck to keep people away.Could have been much worse.:ouch:

pocat 10-29-2009 06:14 AM

I want my truck to run like that.....:pca1:

DB Admin 10-29-2009 03:10 PM

I disagree , to everyone who is stupid enough and wants to lean on the truck while its dynoing , be my guest :D

bigred01 10-29-2009 08:51 PM

man..atleast nobody got hurt props to the driver for a good save

silvercummins06 10-31-2009 08:53 AM

Nice truck, but yeah i have to agree that would not have felt good to get hit!

tjl 10-31-2009 09:01 AM

The first time I ran my truck on a dyno a strap broke. The dyno operator used 4 straps on the back, 2 on the front plus wheel chocks in front and behind both front wheels, so even with 1 strap breaking there wasn't much of a chance the truck would move. They always made sure no one was near the truck or anywhere in front of the truck.

Hobs1 11-01-2009 03:24 PM

Hella good save by the driver. I saw a "redneck race truck" break its driveshaft in half on a dyno and sent it flying 15 ft and hit a guy in the feet. Still don't understand why people think nothing bad will ever happen on a dyno.

blkjack 11-16-2009 12:36 AM

No kidding thats alot of HP and Torq to be messin with just a accident waitin to happen that was lucky lucky to say the least phew it could have hurt:s::s:

wow nice face plant. Imagine if he stepped on it when it was under full load...

CROWN14 11-20-2009 11:03 AM

I was at a local dyno day once and decided the best place to stand was off the back corner of the car, so if it kicked to the side it wouldnt hit me and if anything got spit out the back it wouldnt hit me. Naturally standing in front of one is a horrible idea.

Turns out it was a pretty good plan, on the first pull a Camaro broke a rear ujoint and the shaft dropped to the ground, hit the roller and got shot out the door of the shop. Needle bearings and caps were all over the place!

dodgezilla99 11-20-2009 12:23 PM

Hey maybe after they are done at the dyno, They can all run out to the local freeway and see who can make it all the way across!:argh:

ArizonaRedneck 11-20-2009 01:53 PM

I agree poor guy but he needs to watch where he stepping:ouch::ouch::argh:
