Diesel Snowmobile
I am currently attending the University at Buffalo and joined the SAE Clean Snowmobile Team. The team has put together a diesel snowmobile powered by a Briggs & Stratton / Daihatsu 31 hp diesel.

If anyone has any information about tuning and what not it would be greatly appreciated. Brian ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Some of the objective are to redo the wiring harness and have the injection pump rebuilt. From there the plan is to port/polish the head, build new intake and exhaust manifolds and get a new turbo. Again if anyone had any information pertaining to this it would be greatly appreciated. |
get custom injectors cut, and slap a bigger turbo on it...
By the way that thing is awesome, and since the name of it is 'Clean Snowmobile' then you might want to forget what i just said because i dont think it will be very :":clean:": |
thats cool! how much does the new engine weigh compaired to the old? :U:
|
heck yeah i would run a diesel in mine it wouldnt be very clean, big old hood stack :rocking:
|
hmmm. i assume theres a turbo on it, but i cant for the life of me find it... that would be a good place to start... bigger fuel lines/pump/injectors.... timing?
