scuff the chrome with 100 grit and it should stick just fine, worked on a friends truck and still looks good after 2+ years.:U:

alright nice n easy... just the way i like it!!!!:yeah: :5:
thanks man :U: |
I was told, by the painter at my shop you need to remove the chrome plating and sand down to the nickle to get paint to stick to it..but it might be different for line-x? not sure..

line x is just thick paint. Spary it from time to time i paint cars for a liveing. use a 100 grit. to scuff it up so the paint has no shine. even if there is a little rust it wont hurt it if you cant get it off. bassic chem classes back in high school in order for metal to continue to rust it needs air. why boats can sit at the bottom of the ocean for deckads and not disolve:5: line x donest allow any air between the paint and the bed like a rubber trcuk mat would just get a majority of off and you will be fine

Scuff it up and wipe it down with prep wipe and spray it down with Bulldog. Bulldog is an adhesion promoter you don't have to take the chrome off, Bulldog is what pro painters use to paint over chrome.
