I clay once a year if you don't maintain your trucks finish regularly its not worth your while.
|
how hard is this to do? I have some small surface scratches on my truck, would this help to get rid of them? Any negative side effects?
|
Its not going to remove scratches you need a polish for that.

It does help smooth out the small stuff, really just cleans it up and really makes it shine. you do need to put a good coat of wax on after.
did mine the other night in about 1 1/2 hour, still need to put a coat of wax on. |
I had mine clayed at the dealer when I bought it because there were some hard water spots on it that would not come off. That was 3 years ago :booo: I do wash it and wax it pretty regularly, but I think its time to buy a clay bar and do it myself again. For me, its MOTHERS products all the way. Mostly because I get them at wholesale, being an Amsoil dealer :D

So what did I do wrong with this clay bar. I tried it last year and it was a mess. I washed and dried then used the clay bar on the hood. The bar just kept dragging and left skid marks everywhere that I had to scrub forever on to get rid of. I don't remember all the details but I followed the directions and had no luck with it.
