so you just attached it in line under the body some place near the tank?

I will say it is the added switch on dash, looks like it has a safety cover attached with it. just guessing

Ashley has left for tonight so i'll answer yalls questions..

mystery switch - manual torque converter lockup switch (hence the reason for the safety cover)

mike yeah i put it in-line close to the tank and put a draw straw II from Vulcan in the tank her truck had all ready been switched to the intake style pump had to use 3 fittings from Vulcan also to plumb the new line into the fuel filter

would that work just as easily if you hadnt already had an intake LP?

I guess you could say that lil red switch isn't just for smoke screen deployment, it is also another go-fast button to play with (except when granny is out joy riding in her caddy and she stops in the middle of the road just for the hell of it and the truck nearly dies! :booo:)

OK, im assuming this a little "more fuel" thing for the 24 valves? How does it work? I think I have something of an idea, but, I am on Percaset so I could be halucinating neat things too. :s:

well cowboy...it's just like our lift pump or a piston lift pump...except electric...and this is aftermarket mount on the frame rail.

Is it like a suplimental supply fer when your, "playing" then? What bout puttin one on a properly valved truck?

it just replaces the factory lift pump, but it does flow a little more fuel then the factory pump which helps with keeping the pressure up and not killin the injector pump

contact eric at vulcan performance i know he has big line kits for the "under valved" trucks i dont see why you couldnt put one on yours

OK, cool. I acctually did that on my Ford IDI with the mechanical LP. Works great, especially for FF changes! I was thinking it was supplimental to the stock LP for ya'll though. I know a few guys with 1st gens put on a backup, Walbro style or similar.

some guys do run the holly and the factory LP i think they have to tweek the spring to get the pressure down tho
