Oilfield_Mafia 01-26-2009 02:18 PM

Yea, Curtis was scurred that 36 lbs of boost would pop the head up cause of the stock Head studs..

Diesel Performance Plus is having their first annual open house/dyno day. There is some talk about maybe going to the drag strip near there also. Here's a link to the post in the Gulf South Regional forum.

The Jasper I'm talking about is about 2 hours or so south of me towards Houston. From where you are, head south on 271, then east on I-20 til you get to 59. Then head south to Jasper.
Get your trans done and come hang out and thrash it. I have a couple of toys to install this weekend, and with any luck, may have a few more by the time April rolls around. Should be fun.

Oilfield_Mafia 01-26-2009 04:13 PM

Yea, its 7 hours via google maps.. Id rather drive 7 hours away from Texas, than 7 hours into Texas.. :tttt:

I promise if you come down, we won't make fun of your Oklahoma plates. :moon:

CumminsTurbo22 01-26-2009 04:17 PM

ummm this might be a silly question but here it goes...
When you do a dyno run do you bog the truck out in last gear and just nail it?

You want to start down low RPM's in your 1:1 gear.. that way you get a more accurate result. In the case of the Allisons, it was 4th gear..

You can't be first, but you can be next. :tttt: Although I was born and raised in Texas, my family on my dad's side were some of the first people to settle Mangum, so I have ties to both states. Besides, it's fun to keep the Oklahoma Texas rivalry stirred up. :pca1:

CumminsCrazed 01-30-2009 11:26 AM

when i did my dyno they pulled the truck in 6th gear for the numbers, not my 1:1 5th gear.......

Gotta keep the rivalry up...its tradition!! I got family in Texas...but they gradually keep moving back to God's Country!! :c:
