Man, that's weak...mine would crank on the first try...smoke like a chimney...but crank and stay running.

wildcat 12-22-2008 07:46 PM

:D

It started! what's the problem??:w2:

I don't suppose plugging it in would help, Huh?

Looks like you park your truck in the North 40... Maybe a little closer to the house would help?

cummins24 12-22-2008 07:56 PM

Just a little bit rough :humm:

I dont drive it enough to worry about plugging it in.

921stgen 12-22-2008 08:54 PM

If y'alls trucks are giving you that much troble you need to check the glow plugs/grid heaters :D

I removed my grid heaters thats why its a bitch to start... Should crank right up if they are working.

yep, sure would.

i removed all my heaters considering it's just a track truck, but on the few fays its been freezing here it will fire off beautifully when plugged in. and when not plugged in, she still starts first try, but is a little cranky to idle for the first minute or so.

dozerboy 12-26-2008 04:45 PM

Heck that ain't bad I've had a few 7.3L that have all there heaters that are worse if anything.

94cummins12v 12-26-2008 11:08 PM

cold starts with mine suck right now, had alot of head work done, forgot to replace the injector seals:argh:, must get air in the lines or something but i have to crank her about 15 times just to get here to fire over after sitting for more than 3 days:booo:
