Well, with the help of some friends, we were able to get everything torn down to take a looksy. #5 piston took it the worst! 3 seperate holes burnt through the piston. I'll be relieved when its back up and running again.

Don has always provided me with great product since 2005. I have never had much of any problems with anything.

I truely feel this was my fault. It wasn't a failure of mechanical parts, but software adjustments the fueled too extreme for my application.

Not only did I have insufficient air, but I had incrediable timing from my settings.
Big injectors + plus stock Smarty timing + increased TST time + water/meth = bad juju. The truck sounded aweful on the pull right after I made those adjustments. I should have left the Smarty timing on level (aftermarket injector timing).

It was a learning lesson for me. I should of listened to my brain and stayed within my safe known limits.

Regards,
Scott

well... lets see... an update.

i got the tank dropped so now i can progress on the wiring / air hose job. going to take the fuel tank to Vulcan for some much needed servicing. :)
Attachment 55207

This is the new location of where the air and compressor will sit. Pulled it back from the front of the bed where the stacks were. It will make the air hose attachment much easier to use than the previous setup. stacks are out and decals removed for now. :)

got the last bit of fluid out of the transmission and got her cleaned up ready for install when the time comes. i'm trying a new type of filter out on it; interested to see if it makes a difference on filtering the fluid.

Hey camo what did you use to clean your engine bay and the underside of your truck? It looks as if it did a good job.
