I Am A Newbie Again!!

3 Attachment(s)
Well after some soul searching and decision making I am a newbie again. I picked a 53,XXX mile 05 Chev CC SB tonight.

Features:

It's loaded with everything but a sun roof and cab lights.
Almost new 305/70R16 General Grabber AT2's.
One owner rig that was bought and sold local.
Vent visors that are going away.
Bugshield that is going away.
Line-X
Tonneau
Mud flaps
Air-Raid intake
Step Bars

The PO put that cheap ass mega phone dual exhaust that comes out the back which I hate but that's an easy fix. No other bombs AFAIK.

I like it a lot and couldn't be happier but I'm gonna miss my Dodge a ton.

sexy.....

did you trade in the ole dodge or sell it locally?

TCU Fan 06-23-2008 09:24 PM

Memories I had the silver birch before I got Blackie. It should be a good truck for you.

I'm in the process of finalizing the sale with a dude. We're pretty close to wrapping it up.

Did yours have a remote start that you couldn't figure out installed on it too? lol

I hope it's a good truck. I really do. My sanity needs it to be.

Congrats buddy...we will miss the Dodge too, but Im am like a few others here, my loyalty will only be swayed by the bottom line. If anyone ever offers me a better deal than my Dodge dealer, Im lookin...

Johnny Cetane 06-23-2008 11:07 PM

Well the neighbor kid rode by on his bicycle, yelled "Nice truck, dude" and then popped 2 wheelies. I guess that's as good as 2 thumbs up. lol

CumminsCrazed 06-23-2008 11:12 PM

tell the kid to go to bed its past his bed time.......any clue what percent tint is on the windows?

Johnny Cetane 06-23-2008 11:17 PM

No. They seem to be the same as the rears as far as I can tell. IDK...

You'll miss the Cummins power, but you'll love how much smoother it drives/rides.

Nice truck BTW!:U:

AndyMan 06-25-2008 10:16 AM

Yeah, nice truck playa. I hope it provides years of trouble-free service. I'm sure it will. It's a great motor.

Johnny Cetane 06-30-2008 04:29 PM

OOOO OOOO OOOO Mrs. Cetane just called and there's some UPS boxes that showed up on the front step!!!

I can wait to see what's in them. I won't get home for another 2 hours....

I got the shakes and a little fever. Think I got the sickness...

The BOMBERS sickness....

slowtowpig 06-30-2008 04:54 PM

very nice truck!!!

on a side note....

the Cummins Southern Plains in arlington tx uses ford superdutys as work trucks:humm:

01quadcab 06-30-2008 07:12 PM

nice truck so what bombs are already starting

dozerboy 06-30-2008 07:20 PM

Congrats :U: Plan on getting the new style camper mirrors like I have on my truck. When the ones on the 05s go bad and they do IIRC there $500 a side.

Lucas Amick 07-01-2008 01:36 PM

i think you will be much happier with the chevy, a couple of tips:KEEP THE SEATS CLEAN!!!, they WILL crack up and die on you and to recover it if it is a heat seat it's a bout a grand:booo:

dozerboy 07-01-2008 02:12 PM

Thats true but keeping them clean won't help much. You need to pick yourself up off the seat when you get out not just slide out. I also have a old sheet over my seat to keep it clean from grease and such from work. With those things my seats still look brand new. Or you can say to hell with it and when they go bad just replace the with Katskins replacement leather.

RodZZilla 07-01-2008 07:49 PM

Nice truck, Johnny! Welcome aboard.:c:
