keep em....
i would leave the cummins but take everything else off. btw looks like a nice truck
Thanks Slowtowpig... that name must have some meaning behind it.
Well, I didn't wait for anyone to give me an opinion so I took the badge off the tailgate except for the ram... Jury is still out for the fender badges. http://www.turbowarp.net/images/tailgate-debadged.JPG |
lol yeap theres a meaning behind it. looks good, much cleaner apperance.
I would of left the big horn and the C myself
I'm gonna De-Badge mine soon. I'm gonna put one "C" on the grill, and the other on the tailgate where the ram is. I have a fiberglass bed cover...so I'm thinking of doing a Mat black tail stripe up both sides and across the top. A chrome "C" on each side, and chrome "CUMMINS" text across the top. Not 100% sure just yet. I've seen plenty of trucks with the tail stripe, but not like I'm thinking.
Your truck looks good. The newer badges are alot smaller, it would be a tuff decision. |
Take it off. I debadged mine and I think it looks a lot better.
debadge it. much better and a cheap mod.
Leave 'em all on...
Take em off!!!:U:
If anyone is taking off their 'Thunder Road' Badges I'll take them....

I left just the C on the fender...all else is gone :U: The clean tail looks very nice Solar! Makes wash'n and wax'n much easier too. |
what do you guys use to get the sticky stuff off after pulling the badges off?
Take them off. Find one of those single "C" badges and put one or two on where you want. You'll like it. It's easier to detail too.

I couldn't find one when I debadged my truck so I used 3M adhesive remover and then buffed and waxed the areas. |
I took all of mine off, but did it in two different sets. The gate badges came off when I had to replace it becasue I fubared it up. The rest of the badges never went back on after the wreck. I like the clean look and it makes washing/waxing/buffing a ton easier.

The Dodge looks a lot better without the badges!!!!:U: |
You suppose to run dental floss along the back side of the badge it comes off with the glue attached,, i had a thread on here,, about the shop guys.. johnny shut him down but that was the easiest way to to it,, ill have to go way back in history to find it.:humm:..
Here it is. https://www.dieselbombers.com/shade-...u-bombers.html |
debage it man. makes em look real clean
Put a C on the tail gate under the Ram thats what i did on my truck but all else but the C on the fenders is gone. I'm gonna get some Viper badges too eventually and put them on instead of the Ram, i think that would look cool.
I did mine and it was quick. Many ways to pull them off. Happened to be really hot the day I did mine and just jerked them off! LOL.. Then I used the 3M eraser wheel chucked up in my dewalt cordless drill. then took some solvent and wiped the area clean of residue of remaining glue, took it to the car wash and walaa dun!
loose'em except for the "C"
Put some Bowties on it,, then it would look really sharp......:c:
