It doesn't matter how big you go you will always wish you went bigger. That shop looks great. I have plans for my garage/house some day. 40x100 with 15' ceiling. Hopefully I will have the money some day.

Don't be too sure....I bought my place with a 60x80' and could easily see being able to cut alot of space out. The more space there is, the more :edit: you store, and the more there is to keep straitened and clean.
put a petition wall at half way and a door on the other end and rent it out to the neighbors $$$$$$$ I plan to build a shop up at my cabin and am thinking about maybe 36x72 would be just right |

16yrs. ago, a company came out and blew insulation in my attic when my house was nearing completion.... the insulation is deep 8 to 10 inches in places....
workers blowing the insulation wore long sleeve hooded sweat shirts and breathing masks... after their work, i installed some flooring in a few parts of the attic and it was a mess, too much insulation... i wish i had paid the extra amount and had insulation batting installed... to get the same r factor i would have had to installed additional 2X4s on top of the 2x6s.... but it would have been a neater job.... the blown insulation is settling now and maybe loosing some of it's R factor..... |
