As bad as I hate to say it I've had better luck with my Harbor Fright jacks and air tools than I have my "name brand " tools.

BUT don't buy their own brand electric tools J-U-N-K

HF 2 ton aluminum jack has worked great for me in the 2 years I've had it. I previously used the steel HF version which lasted 4-5 years. In contrast, my old roommates Craftsman jack lasted 6 months before it died, and the same thing happened to a friend. We used them on a daily basis as we were running what could be considered a small shop in our garage through college while attending UNOH for diesel/high performance.

Invest in jack stands. Heavy duty wide base jack stands saves lives
