So, how did this turn out?

The dude panicked when I said I had to pull the refrigerant compressor to remove the plugs, assumed I didn't know what I was talking about and told me not to touch it. And so it sits.

Anybody want the damn thing? I'm tired of looking at it.

A 12-Cylinder? Try to contact a racing shop. Thats the advice they give you in Germany if you have problems.:pca1:

But Mr. Miyagi told you already exactly what to do...or better not to do!

Ether down the carb and fresh gas in the tank and away she went, drove the car for another 20,000 miles before selling it at auction for twice what I paid for it.

Could something go bad if you just fire it up? Sure! But odds are you'll be just fine.

Dude, I've done the same thing to countless other vehicles, too....but a V12 Jag of that vintage is NOT a Pinto, a '57 Chevy truck, or anything remotely normal.....you don't just go shadetree mechanicin' that type of car unless you have a lot of money to fix your mistakes later.

Here's what one looks like....feel free to let her rip!

I told you...:w2:

Yeah but if you're selling it, it's worth a shot. Let's see, pay a bunch of money to safely fire it up and then sell it OR give it a whirl with the odds being it will be just fine. It's still just an engine no matter how rare/fancy/expensive it is.

If it were me and I were selling it, I'd just fire it up. If it didn't start and run fine, then I'd take it somewhere to get worked on.

Remind me again later to never hire you, or buy anything you're selling.

No worries man. I'm a horrible employee, and not a mechanic anyhow:U:

Make you a deal on a Chevy pickup with 250k miles, keeps running just fine with my maintenance plan.
