What your running into, is the electrical wire....

What your running into, is the electrical wire. The connection is on the lower left shroud bracket. Your going to need a small, flat screwdriver to lift the latch to unplug it.

In the cold, yes. What you'll end up doing is cause the engine oil to sludge. If you plan on a short trip, drive it long enough to where at least the heater is blowing warm air.

Bout the only way is a dual or triple compound setup. Just as a single, your going to have to push some serious fuel to get it to spool, and even then, your gonna have a lot of lag.

Oversize tires will make for an rpm drop, so you can get a little more speed out of overdrive (be like swapping the 3.73's for 3.42's). BUT, your also making more resistance as mentioned already....

But your gonna have to get use to a little turbo lag. They ran the HY's on auto's for faster spool.

I'd tear the entire engine down, and clean it. Don't know how much metal is still in the oil passages, and your gonna end up in a worse boat than your in right now. :ouch:

Grid heater is cycling. What it is, is a giant heating element that warms the air coming into the engine. It draws a lot of amps, and when they kick on is why your volt meter drops. :tu:
