NP4500 billet input shaft

I have both a billet input shaft and a factory counter shaft out of my truck. The input is less than a year old, with probably around 10k miles, while the counter shaft should be the original at 130k miles. I replaced these with new shafts per my mechanics advice, although he said they would be great for more of a competition truck. The problem is that I was having my trans overhauled, and he found the pieces of a synchronizor had worked its way in between the gears of these shafts, resulting in very small marks on the gears. Honestly, if he hadn't pointed it out to me, I wouldn't have noticed the marks. He said that they would still work great for a pulling truck or something along those lines, but not great for a daily driver. The new replacement shafts were $800 for the input and $250 for the counter, but I don't expect to get that for these. If you are interested, make me an offer, the worst I could do is say no. The marks that I'm trying to describe are more towards the root of the teeth on the gear, they're not very big, thats why it's kinda hard to see in the pics, which are of the input gear, because they are the most obvious, and easiest to see.

I dont really want to come off as a know it all because i dont, but your mechanic is a moron!!! Those small marks would not effect a thing as long as no teeth are broken, now as far as them being fine for a puller, its kinda the other way around, but im not your mechanic. So any way 800.00 for an input is a little on the high side, just make sure it is american made if you paid that much.

I may be interested in the counter shaft if you can send me some pics of it.

thanks

well you are certainly entilted to your opinion, but that is only $100 dollars more for his shaft than it would be from the other local shop that I would consider letting work on my truck. But, I only have one guy work on my truck, that way he know everything that is done to it what will work together without causing issues, and I have noticed that he only uses the best parts that he can get his hands on, so he only has to do the job once, he dosen't have a standard part you normally get or an optional upgrade, it's just the upgrade. But I will try to get some pics of the countershaft up sometime today. And just to be clear, I'm not expecting to get new prices out of these, just make me an offer. Thanks for looking
