Alright I know your trying to sell the AAM 11.5 (sorry)but I was trying to find something on someone swapping one with a Dana 80 such as on the 2nd Gen. I can't ever get my truck to hook posi and im tired of having to put it in 4wd when im stuck on wet grass, even with my 305 MTs. So does anyone know of someone doing this.

extra 300lbs or so of weight in the bed would help.

the only thing what would be different if you have disc brakes its possibly the location of the spring perch which and be moved and if i remember correctly i had a guy measure his second gen and it was only like a 1/2 inch difference which makes me think they are the same. and you would have to go to 17" rims cause of the brake calipers.

My truck already has 17s with disc brakes. Its got the big horn edition wheels on. So you think it wouldnt take much to swap them out?

Nope just jack it up and undo the u-bolts unhook the brakes and roll the axle out and swap the other one in. the other thing is you would have to change the u-joint on the drive shaft. which means having the drive shaft reworked.
