https://corvallis.craigslist.org/cto/5982952864.html This is a Dodge Ram with a Cummins diesel 24 valve. The injection pump has been swapped with a 180hp p-pump out of a 1997 Dodge Cummins. It was rebuilt by Diesel Performance Engineering with 4k governor springs. It was balanced. My initial plan was to build the transmission and do some motor modifications. I lost interest in that and have just been enjoying a reliable ride. I don't tow anything and the previous owner didn't as well so it hasn't been worked or worn out. It would be a great tow rig or it could also be built for high performance and be taken to the track. It has: -FASS 150gph pump for a 12 valve -12 valve timing case -12 valve timing gear -Dual line fuel supply to P-pump -Killer dowel pin tabbed -injection lines for a p-pump swap -5" straight pipe exhaust -Amsoil ATF -recently changed fluids in Diff -BF Goodrich tires with probably 70% left on them. Have a tread depth gauge -Aluminum spare rim and non-ancient tire less than 5k miles on it -dash from LMC trucks -Gauges -pyro works intermittently. May be a looses connection. -Fuel pressure gauge. Not hooked up and meant for a VP44 not P-pump -Turbo boost gauge works fine -Have timing adjustment tool for p-pump -Have new set of brake shoes for rear drums. Was going to replace them as preventative maintenance but didn't get around to it. They seem to work fine. -New batteries (it was sitting for a wile so I swaped in some new ones) There are some things that need attention. Such as -Power door lock on passenger side makes motor sound but doesn't unlock or lock. Can do manually -AC compressor or expansion valve needs replaced. Clutch engages with vent selector. Holds freon. -2 of the 3 seat motors don't work. forward and reverse works fine -Fuel gauge works intermittently. -Horn honks when the relay is put in. I took the relay out -Paint is in bad shape. The truck runs well. I used it as a daily driver for about 25k miles set up like this. However, recently it has been sitting in my side yard for the last year or so. I drive it to pick stuff up every once in a while just to make sure it gets a chance to stretch its legs. This is a good truck and has served me well. The guy I bought it from only put 37k miles on it up until around 2012. He didn't even have a trailer ball for it. There was a dodge emblem in where the ball goes and the pin was frozen. I towed a 17' boat that I owned a couple of times and then brought a car back on a trailer that I bought in Salem. The reason I'm selling it is because I just don't use it. I use it to pick up plywood or furniture every couple of months but otherwise it has been sitting. It's too much truck for my needs. I have a lot of paperwork showing the history of this truck. I did all of the work myself on it. I even did the alignments as I used to work at an auto shop. |
