Amsoil Dual Bypass Oil Filter Setup BMK16 for 7.3L
Decided that I don't put enough miles on the truck yearly to justify having a bypass. So I'm selling it.
Setup only has 1 NEW 5' oil line at the moment, you will most likely need to buy another line to mount this system. What you see is what you get. Filters are brand new still in the shrink wrap. $220 OBO Shipped. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/x...lBypass001.jpg http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/x...lBypass002.jpg http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/x...lBypass003.jpg |

What's the benefit of having this installed? I've got a 7.3. I've got a guy who bought my old truck who owes me some cash if I get it soon I might be interested if you still have it for sale.

It's still for sale. The benefit is extended oil change intervals and better oil filtration. The bypass filter filters down to 2 microns IIRC, and that is enough to remove soot from the oil, the #1 reason you have to change your oil. With a good synthetic, you could run 15-20k+ mile intervals on a healthy engine, with UOA's to support that the engine/oil is ok. I don't even put 10k miles a year on my truck right now, so I just don't need to have extended intervals. *Edit* DUH moment... just looks at the pic, says 2 microns right on the filter, lol |
how much did you get it for?
