4K INSTALL THEN PROBLEMS
 

sup guys ..i have a bit of a big problem ..i upgradeD valve springs an an add an 4k kit on my 96 cummins 3500...i check twice already to make sure the were between .40-.50 an they both are at .47 but at first my truck idle low then whn i tap the gas a lil it revs very high an stay ther into i ture the truck off...so this is a sign of a runaway but i dnt know where to look .....my fuel plat is stock an is all the way foward an the turbo wastgate is plug so can anyone help or have ids on what this can be ....on the install of the 4k gov kit i was very carefule an did not lose anything ..it was fine but its was very low rpm...then i also start looking into the idle ...forgot to mention i trid to turn it up a lil but the nut just wouldnt move just stayed in one spot an turns...lock nut,,,,,,HELP ANYONE ls:humm::argh::rocking:

U usually have to adjust the idle after putting 4 ks in. There is an adjuster on back of pump. It has a lock but on the bottom side.
The hanging rpms coul be several things. When removing the shins, are you sure u got them all out? If not that will cause some problems. Is the throttle cable hanging?

no it gos back like it should but even if i dnt hit the gas it still goes up an up an want come down im goin recheck every thing an spray it all down with some lube an c what happens

WELL i find taht i still had two shims that i missed but got them out now is it pose to be .40 or .50 inchs or mm

3 clicks after they are snug but yes its inches
