OK, Let's Try This Again: Who Wants to Sell...

Who wants to sell me a Smarty Jr. WITHOUT $40 of sales tax?

(North Carolina-based vendors need not apply) :dang:

Okay guys,
Just talked to Paul and explained. He wasnt Charged sales tax...It was an invoicing glitch...Also Known as I didnt catch that Quickbooks had switched him to an in state customer.
Just to make it clear, Paul wasnt charged the sales tax, Only the quoted price! :tu:

NadirPoint 11-25-2009 08:55 AM

OK, OK, looks like this will turn out be a paperwork snafu. Despite receiving an invoice total including $37.20 sales tax (to be exact), I have been informed by the sender that the tax was not charged to my account. It hasn't posted yet, so we'll see.

Anyways, everybody stand down. This may be all for naught. Gotta love it... :argh:

PS,
Somthing we all need to be aware of, There's been political talk of charging sales tax on internet sales. Heard about it on Glenn Beck. We need to write our elected officials and let them know that dosent fly!

NadirPoint 11-25-2009 09:07 AM

That's why thought it was for real. I did do a little checking before making this post. A Google search on NC Internet sales turned up some news story about such legislation there. It looks like NC is in the process of doing this, if they haven't already done so.... :dang:

mysterync 11-25-2009 09:10 AM

What makes me mad, According to glen beck, It would cost more to implement than it would bring in. It would be on a 5 year break even scale at 5% sales tax.

Glad we got this all worked out:tu:

Shea@L&N Performance 11-25-2009 09:22 AM

An Invoice and a reciept for the purchase is in the mail headin your way with the correct price, sent it out yesterday.

NadirPoint 11-25-2009 09:37 AM

Thanks! Sorry for the bad PR about your politicos. I suppose we all have that issue to some extent, tho.... :humm:

Shea@L&N Performance 11-25-2009 09:44 AM

Haha very true, atleast were all on the same path now:c:

jkidd 11-25-2009 10:07 AM

AMEN.. I hate sales tax. California is the most populated state and no one wants to buy from me here unless they are already broke down. Hard to be competitive when sales tax is 9.25% on average, but no way do I want a universal sales tax --- even if they promise to spend it on universal health care:scare2::bat:

Jazz 11-25-2009 10:17 AM

Gotta love it when it all works out:c: a little communication goes a long ways. Way to handle this guy's:c::jump::jump:
