Default injectors

I have on 03 cummins 24v that I have just been told needs injectors from the dealership near me.
What may anyone out there have to offer.
I am up for advice, this truck has only 103,000 on it. I'm not going crazy with it just want a fun runnin truck that I can pull a little with on occasion. But I sure don't want no junk injectors cause I'm pissy about spend'in the cash.
So enlighten me, what's to learn about injectors in this 03.
I have just got the pants shocked off me from the price at the dealership. I need education on these injectors. What the hell can make them go bad at 100,000?...

How can I be sure they are bad?...
What's to say new ones will last for years to come?...

How difficlut are they to change?..
I do most of my own maintenance work unless it get's heavy into the electrical department.
Is there any reason why I shouldn't install my own. ?

has for the injectors 100,000 to 125,000 miles is about max for the cr trucks. to tell and injectors bad might have a missfire to it, or it smokes a lot not black smoke. if you are changing them your self it will save you money as far as pulling them out its not that hard just make sure you don't get the two wires crossed on top of the solenoid. industrial injection make some good injectors it i were you i would puts some 50hp injectors in it they will run alot better than stock plus see a jump in mpg.

too much rail pressure can be bad. Also the injectors are susceptible to contaminants, Airdog or FASS is a good idea, increases the filter from 7 microns to 2 microns
