Buying a 06 3500 mega cab 5.9?
 

need some input! i own a auto detailing shop and in came the 06 ram.The truck has 196,968 miles but over all in good condition and was a local truck. I contacted a good friend of mine about the truck and turns out it was his cousins.He then told me to stay away from it due to the problems his cousin had with it. He gave me his cousins phone number so he could explain. called the guy and i guess he was tierd of the nickle and dime stuff, he further explaind that he performed all service at 7500 miles,oil and fuel filter,replaced a main engine harness due to corrosion,new u joints,front hub on right side,new ac pump last year, rebuilt transfercase due to vibration and new ball joints 40,000 miles ago, he travels alot pulling a box trailer with his job. explaind the other reason for getting rid of the truck was that he got a good deal on another brand. the only thing that has not been gone through is the transmisstion and rear end and if it wasnt for the good deal he got he would still have, this truck was a trade in and i have no clue about diesels. a sorry this is so long but any input would be very helpful thanks Forgot, hes the second owner and got the truck with 40,000 on i5t
