A good truck for $10,000
Hello there! I am a high school student and am saving up my money and it looks like I'll have around 10,000 saved up for a truck. I'm currently driving my grandpas 1995 f250 7.3 and almost have enough to buy my own truck. This is my first diesel, well actually my first vehicle haha and I'm hooked on the diesels now. I've been looking around and I've been thinkin about lookin for a nice cummins 12 valve that I can add mods to with the help of some family and buddies. But I also want a truck that can tear up some mud without worrying about getting pulled out. So what y'all think? Recommend me some nice lower end reliable trucks por favor!

you got it, bud. find a clean 94 to 97.5 12v. You just can't go wrong with one of them

There is a G in cumming when it has to do with stroking.

A 12v or a 96-97 7.3 like your grandpas.

get a 7.3........... leave the 5.9 behind, the truck will fall apart around the motor.

lol my 12v is fine :) but damn 12k in high school? i wish i could save that much. depending on what mpg's you want id get a 12v and build it to your needs. a 24v will get better on the mileage but you have to look out for the 53 block and get a FP gauge. the dodges are good trucks. but also the 7.3's are good trucks. ive got friends from all the makes and as long as you take care of your truck itll work for you

As much as I dislike Dodges, I gonna say a 12v Cummins. The 7.3's are good engines as well, and have a much better body around them, they're just not as fun.
