im in the vast, very vast, market...

Im in the market for buying my first car and iIwant to get a diesel truck. Im gonna be honest, I have no idea what to get or what to expect. Im 17 and ive always loved diesel trucks and have been around them since I was little. Im debating different performance diesel colleges such as Wyotec and NADC so i can learn alot about them and start a career with the beasts. I really do have a passion for the smell of burning diesel, I would just be and invalid participant in a discussion of the engines. I am very mechanically inclined and know quite a bit about gas engines but diesel is completely different, seriously, 2 stroke diesel engines? WTF! Everybody out there has their opinions on which truck is better and that dmax sucks, cummins should go out of business and powerstroke is pathetic. I want a professional opinion on which truck I should be looking into. No side taking because you have one of them. I need a truck that can pull a big toy hauler as I have toys and I also want something I can drive to a truck pull, compete and outperform, and then drive the same truck back home. Something very reliable. I know that all 4 brands make a solid truck, but which one is the best. I watch a lot of videos and read alot of reviews and drive my frinds trucks. All have high performing dmax cummins and powerstrokes. And I like all three and have come to a conclusion that I cant tell a damn bit of difference in any of them except the cummins has a bit more grunt. So my question is. WHAT DO I DO!? Im lost. Should I be looking at an older one to start and gert into like between 1998 and 2005 or go ahead and get a newer truck. God I have alot to learn. I know I dont have the right to call myself a coal roller yet but soon i will. Thanks for any advice or suggestions and professional opinions.

Yeah i know about 2 stroke gas. I just never ever thought diesel could burn in 2 cycles. And i understand they all have some issues as everything does, not to be snobby or picky, i just want the best money can buy.

Yes. Somewhere someone decided it was "cool" to blow black smoke everywhere. Then they get on here and we educate them :c: I prefer to make tire smoke :rocking:

if u cant tell smoke is bad and ppl hate it. you can do all of what you want with any of the 3 trucks just depends on which YOU like best drive them all and pick one. if you treat a truck right it will work. search the forums and do research. personally i have a 12v cummins :rocking: i have friends with powerstokes and dmaxs. all great trucks just gotta address the issues and take care of them. personally i dont think any highschooler should have a diesel truck because they all want to jack it up and "roll coal" and race and cause a bad rep for the rest of us. my $0.02

These threads just give me a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. I mean come on guys, everytime someone even mentions smoke, is it really necessary for 10 different guys to chew him out? Because I know not all of your trucks are tuned 100% clean.
