Gonna buy an 06 6.0...... advice from there

Tomorrow I am looking at an 2006 6.0 F350, I have the carfax, the Oasis, and will be having it checked out by an independent mechanic. I will also purchase an extended FORD warranty. Is there something special I should look for in a mechanic for my pre-sale inspection? The Oasis shows new fuel pump at 7k miles and that the turbo had the Unison Ring binding due to carbon at 34k miles. It was cleaned and fixed and has run fine since according to oasis. Those are the only 2 things that are on Oasis. Anyone have any comments or advice.

Yea, they can be good trucks. If you purchase any brand of diesel truck you should understand there are increased cost of ownership with a larger, heavier truck and diesel engines offer more expensive repairs than their gas counter parts.

If you want it buy it, just look through the 6.0 tech section first so you won't be surprised in the future. :c:

If the price is right buy it. I wouldn't be scared of owning one.

If your Oasis is clean, it's probably been well cared for. What you pay for it and what you want to do with it, is up to you. We can give you some recommendations and things to look for, once you tell us what your plans are for the truck. Is this going to be a DD? Grocery Getter? Hauling the RV on the weekends? Tearin A$$ down the drag strip or what?
