2002 7.3 Excursion VS F-250 7.3

We have been in the market for 4 months to buy a F-250 super cab, short box to pull our 29 ft RV Trailer (bumper pull 9,700GVW). The better half just fell in love with the Excursions. I have been doing alot of research on both. I have found that the F-250 is rated to pull 10K. and the Excursion 4X2 = 10,500K. 4X4 = 11,000K. Is this correct ? Does anyone on here have any info on this? Thank You for any info on this.

Has anyone ever owned a 2002 F-250 7.3 and moved into a 2002 Excursion 7.3 ? or vice versa?

Great choices i think the 4x4 excursion considering if you have a family would be the way to go the tow capacity is 11k and you can haul all your gear with out covering it up in the bed just make sure you get the trailer break the excursion has the smaller breaks stock. hope this helped

I had a v-10 2000 limited cherry rated at 10,000 the 11,000 is in the hitch on the newer like 01 and up its the hitch itself, I towed a 32 foot car trailer with 2 quads and a jeep all last summer no sway at all, tit, the only this was the gas mileage 200 miles 9-10 mpg towing with traffic following a 97 stroke, If we could get a X diesel right now we would, Saved my better halfs life the wed before christmas, someone in the rain in her llane high beams on she slowed and moved over and clipped a telephone pole at 20 , If it was her old kia she'd be dead, and her 10 year old in the back no scratches anywhere....I just got a 94 cc srw 7.3 5 spd and man all summer towing in that old bench seat not gonna happen, Im gonnna keep her for a spare just offered on a 06 king ranch.. I missed my x's comfort well see, but yeah the x maybe could use a rear sway if you have a real bulky driftable trailer, but my 32 foot stayed straight behind it, this is a car trailer though tooo rv might handle different, and just cuz the x sits low means nothing, even with a impressive tongue load mine sat pretty
