need help in buying the right diesel

i found a 99 f250 lariat crew cab from texas. lifted not a spot of rust or rot anywhere clean clean clean body with the brilliant amber paint job. 07 superduty grill and bumper. the interrior is SHOT all of the seats are junk. cracked and faded..... while test driving the truck it shut off on me twice at a stop sign. started right up no issue what so ever but then the serive engine soon light came on. while on my way back to the dealership with the truck i stopped to put some fuel in it(salesman request) and i ran into a guy with programer it had 6 codes stored. one was for the cam/crank sensor and a couple were for the exhaust. it has 235k on it. and is an automatic. i left a deposit on the truck. they are going to "look it over"(not knowing that i already know that there are 6 codes in it). can anyone give me some help on what i should do here? my first diesel.

what are signs to know when to stay away from a certain truck?

Does the word run have any meaning to you?

Not to sure, but by the sounds of things you need to go pick up yer deposit! Anything that shuts off on you at a stop sign twice while test driving, is going to give you nothing but trouble! Miles are not to bad if its on a 7.3. Keep looking if you are in no hurry, dont jump on the first diesel you drive. Iam in the market for a cummins 5.9 12 or 24. Let me tell you honestly ive looked at 24 trucks so far and still havent found the "1". Keep looking youll know when you find it!

It was the cam position sensor. Already fixed.
