please help me

i recently purchased a 98 chevy 3500 dually with 6.5l turbo diesel. i stumbled on this truck at a really good price.this is my first diesel. my dad has a dodge diesel and all i had seen and heard was all the power, and how easy it was to make mods to get more horsepower and much better fuel economy . well i wanted to be a part of the diesel world. however being inexperienced has sure got my feathers ruffled right now. i obviously didnt do enuff research because NOW i am finding out that it seems like this motor has just dropped off the face of the earth . i cant find a dang thing for this motor.with me getting a lousy 11mpg i desperately need to make some modifications to not only get this truk to get out of its own way but to also get the best fuel mileage i can possibly afford. can someone please help

Heath diesel , or SS diesel supply will probobly be your best bet , for your 98 , I know they have injectors , and programs to get more out of the 6.5

i only know of a few things 2 do right now . programmer (which they dont make for this motor), upgrade the exhaust, and cold air intake . can u make any other suggestions on things i can do to do away with all the stock factory restrictions to get more power and better mpg ?

thanx

They don't make a programmer you have to get a re flashed ecm. Heath or Walking j designs has them. Put 4" exhaust, a ecm, and mechanical waste gate controller on it.
