brake fluid in my diesel

I have brake fluid in my diesel tank, about 4 spoons on a full tank, dont ask how it got in there please. all i want to find out is other than the perfomance that is now verry shoddy, is there any thing else that can or will go wrong before the diesel tank is empty?

Drain it and clean the tank

is there any thing that can be damaged because of the brake fluid

BACONBITSFORU 07-12-2011 04:07 PM

IP injectors change oil and fuel filters it could mess up any thing the fuel went through

A couple ounces of brake fluid in a tank of diesel will do NOTHING. What do you think brake is exactly, anyways?

Brake Fluid

It is NOT the reason OP is experiencing "shoddy performance," whatever that is.

Trace amounts of brake fluid will cause you no issues whatsoever.

At one time or another I have run diesel contaminated/mixed with just about anything you can imagine from brake fluid to gear lube.

If your really that concerned just add some 2 stroke oil to the full tank to up the lubricity.
