Price Check 2001 Cummins ecsb

Howdy. It's been a while since I've been on the forum, but am trying get back into diesels. My 2005 dodge 2500 with lots of work was stolen a few years ago. I was so disgusted with what I got back from insurance I just got a car and drove it for a while. Well....I'm ready to get back into a Cummins.

Found the truck below and thought I would run it past the group. I've done a lot of research but wanted to see what this board thought.

I've never owned a 24v and would love to hear what the group has to say. Anything I need to look out for in particular?

$14000 + ttl
2001 Dodge 2500 ECSB 4x4 Sport
116,000 miles
Leveling kit, 35" tires, 17" aftermarket wheels, Fass fuel pump, gauges, mbrp muffler
Interior is an 8 (has small crack in dash) and exterior is a 9 (no rust, few small dings, good paint)
Recently "rebuilt" transmission. New HD td torque converter....but most everything else was just replaced if needed.

Dealer didn't have many records and didn't know much about the truck.

That part worrys me a little. I dont know about what the more seasoned guys will say. But I would like to have some history on the truck.

Get a car fax check for leaks and ask about the KDP

KDP is not a big issue with a 24v at least I have never heard of one falling out like a 12v will. I would check for excessive blow by. Take the intake off and spin the turbine, make sure it spins freely and doesn't wobble. Check for codes by doing the key trick. If its an auto just make sure it shifts nice and firm, you don't want it to hunt for gears. It says it has an aftermarket LP which is good. Always get an auto check or car fax. Also if you have a mechanic you trust have him/her come along to look it over. The price is pretty good. Good luck.:tu:
