2011 DODGE QUESTIONS

I JUST BOUGHT MY FIRST DIESEL TRUCK A FEW WEEKS AGO IN GARNER N.C. BEAUTIFUL 2011 2500 CUMMINS MEGA CAB. I'M AVERAGING 14.3-14.8 MPG BUT FEEL LIKE I AM HARDLY MOVING DOWN THE ROAD TO GET THESE NUMBERS. I HAVE READ ALOT ABOUT TUNING, DELETES ETC... BUT HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO FIRST, WHAT BRANDS, TO DELETE OR NOT TO DELETE.AND WOULD LIKE TO GET BETTER MPG BUT BE ABLE TO REALLY PUSH-IT! I DON'T SEE MYSELF TOWING OFTEN IF AT ALL. BUT I WANT THE POWER AND BETTER MILEAGE THAT DIESEL PROVIDES. HELP !

Diesel provides more torque, while providing similar or better mileage than gassers. You dont buy a MEGA CAB cummins for mileage. Welcome to what the modern diesel can provide for power and economy. An era where there are so many pollutant restraints on them that they lose a few hundred hp and several mpg trying to control them.

Post this in its respective part of the forum; this section is for people who are thinking about buying a diesel.

BTW, new cummins w/ intake exhaust a tuner and dpf delete are making like 1300lbs of tq to the wheels

Rules:

- Keep your messages on topic. that means talking about buying / deciding on what Diesel your looking for or what you just bought and have questions about.

You said the same thing to diximoma in another thread. For someone that joined in feb you should know these rules. Not have to be informed by myself who has been posting for 2 days.

Ok well you keep looking for technical advice in a portion of the forum that not many people frequent, and the ones that do frequent it are looking for advice on buying a truck. See my post count? See your post count? That means I've been around the block on this forum. I think I know what I'm talking about when I say asking a technical question on a non-technical portion of the forum is ignorant.

thanks

Your post count is more then mine. i joined this forum 2 days ago. I commented in a potential/new buyers as well as the 6.7L dodge cummins 07.5 and Up sections because i am new. Being new i don't know which portion of the website are more or less frequently visited. My point is that instead of giving me help like some others have sent me in PM's you give me generic diesel better then gas comment, inform me that you don't buy a mega cab for mileage and then critique me on my placement of posting. Thats not exactly what i was expecting. Thanks for the help.

I tried being nice, when I kindly informed you that this was being posted in the wrong section of the forum.

If you go to the very top of the IE window, look to the left of the screen (within the DB window). You will see your question posted "2011 dodge questions". Above that, there is a directory labeled "Diesel Bombers". After that, "Bombers Forums". Lastly, the last sub directory is labeled "Potential Diesel Owners Forum".

Being as you already have a diesel, the correct sub directory is located here:
6.7 Liter Dodge Cummins 07.5-UP - Diesel Bombers

Not being an ass here (or at least, not trying to be), but that is where you will have a 100% success rate in aquiring answers to your dilemas.
