looking d-max ps or cummins

Go Duramax. Injector problems were limited to Lb7's, water pumps aren't known to fail more than any other motor, My tranny puts up with a 520 rwhp EFI live tune everyday at 140,000 miles, just gotta baby 5th gear on the max effort tune, and my IFS handles repeated 25 psi boosted launches with 33x13" tires on nice sticky asphalt. Powerstrokes are really hard to get power out of, 6.4 excluded. Cummins is a great motor wrapped in a shitty truck, for the most part.

One of these days, I am going to buy an early 98 cummins. Sled puller.
Also, my buddy has an 05 dmax with a bullydog on extreme and 185000 miles. Tranny 4 times, transfer case once, several water pumps, injectors, I haven't talked to him in a while so I can't remember everything. But you also have to remember, not all trucks of the same model have the same problems and stuff all of the time. Just my .02 cents.

Meh I didn't need a lift for 325/60R18. Thats a 33.4x13" tire. Mine has the torsion bars all the way down, and drop shackles in the rear. And no, my tranny is the stock LLY trans, same as the LB7 and it is stock. It will limp 5th gear still, but my big tune doesn't defuel, so what do you expect. Figure on a trans for anything over 500 rwhp, and rods for anything that over 650 rwhp if you beat on it daily.

Since he was talking about only spending $11,000, He'll only be looking at LB7. All my friend with LB7 had T O N S of problems. Just look at a construction site you will see the BIG 3 working DODGE & FORD will be pulling, towing, hauling, & CHEVY truck is a lunch truck

OK here I go DURAMAX bad injectors ( they will leak & blow your engine) Waterpump failure TRANNY won't handle more than 75 HP over stock, IFS weak (Will wear & always need alingement on 4X4. CUMMINS WEAK TRANNY, PISTON PIN will slide out damaging the cylinder, WEAK body. POWERSTROKE CPS are known to go to crap( Must always have a spare) MOST expensive to make high performance, worst MPG out of the three.
are you some kind of stupid, do you believe everything you read on the internet?
