LB7 Duramax, lift pump vs inline electric pump?
 

I'm new hear, and this may be a stupid question, but I'm going to ask it anyway. I'm considering purchasing an 02 LB7 6.6 Duramax, and I have read about the lack of a lift pump, and the CP3 doing both "chores" for the fuel. My question is why couldn't a person use an inline electric fuel pump to "push" the fuel to the CP3? Why wouldn't the inline electric pump work, to take the burden off the CP3 having to "suck" the fuel from the tank? Thanks for any input on this.
