6.0 Powerstroke or 5.9 Commin Rail...Which to get?
 

Hey all My names Eric im 24 and im from Long Island NY, Ive been into diesel's since i was 8 years old and have grown too like them more and more as time went on. Now its in my blood. Anyways heres my question in about a month from now ill be plannin on finacing a newer pick up...i currently drive a 97 nissan maxima old but reiable and i yust too own a 89 dodge w350 and loved it but sold it due too some excessive blow by and a rear main seal leak(didnt have the money too fix) Now for the past month all thats been goin on in my head is a back and forth fight with gettin a 6.0 power stroke or a 5.9 commin rail dodge, I love them both equaly but cant decide. Everyone i kno has or had a 6.0 but i dont kno anyone with a dodge let alone a commin rail. Any input would be great bascially i just started a new job a month over a month ago and im not even a half a mile down the road...soo commuting is not a problem. Im looking too spend 15K or less...now i kno with that ill be gettin a truck with high mileage which is fine but its how well the truck is taken care of im conerned of....ive been lookin all month and like i said about early decemeber ill be gettin real serious. Im just trying too plan and firgurie this out.

I'd say look at the 7.3L's. everyone I've talked to that owned a 6.0 has had to dump money into the engine because of excessive problems. The 7.3 is a powerhouse.
